Joseph E. Bombardier, Jr.

EAST GREENBUSH – Joseph E. "Pops" Bombardier, Jr. passed away on Monday, April 23, 2012, with his loving family by his side, after a brief illness. Born in North Adams, MA he was the son of the late Joseph E. Bombardier, Sr. and Elizabeth (Hyndman) Johnson. Joe resided in East Greenbush since 1979. He was a well known and accomplished drummer in the area and an avid New York Yankees fan.

Joe is the beloved husband of nearly forty-two years to Susanne (Larkins) Bombardier. He is the devoted father of Shari Cade, Judith Diamond, Sandra Plura, Michael Bombardier, Tracy Meyette, William Bombardier, Richard Bombardier and Joseph Bombardier, III. He is the loving brother of Patricia Gizzi. Also surviving are many cherished grandchildren, great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.


A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday at 1:00 p.m. at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave). A calling hour will precede the service from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 440 New Karner Rd., Albany, NY 12205 in memory of Joseph R. Bombardier, Jr.
