Joseph E. Marron

COLONIE – Joseph E. Marron, 82, of Colonie, passed away on Friday, June 15, 2012 at St. Peters Hospital.
He was born in Bridgeport, CT and was the son of the late James and Rose Marron. Joe was a graduate of RPI. He was a metallurgical engineer for General Electric Company in Schenectady for many years, retiring in 1988 . Joe was a train enthusiast and enjoyed working puzzles and could fix almost anything. His favorite thing to do was to spend time with his loving family.
Joe is survived by his loving wife, Marjorie; his children, Joseph (Kathy), Maureen, James (Colleen), Jeanne, Gail DeCelle, Carol (Skip)Noxon and Linda Swift; his sister, Rosemarie Colvin; 13 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son Michael P. Marron and his brother James.
Funeral services will be Thursday morning at 11:00 at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie. Calling hours will be Wednesday from 4 to 7 pm at the funeral home. Interment will be in Memory Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 260 Osborne Rd. Albany, NY 12211 in memory of Joseph E. Marron.
