Joseph F. Lombardo Iii

July 20, 1954 — March 1, 2013

LATHAM - On March 1, Joseph F. Lombardo III peacefully went home to be with the Lord surrounded by his loving wife of 37 years, Stephanie, and his children.
Joe was born on July 20, 1954 to Charlotte and Joseph F. Lombardo, Jr. He graduated from Vincentian Institute in 1972 and SUNY Cobleskill in 1975. He was a dedicated employee to Jacoby's Appliance Parts for over 35 years and greatly appreciated all of the friendships he created during this time.
His passion for the University of North Carolina basketball and New York Giant football was surpassed only by his love for his family. He constantly put everyone ahead of himself and was involved in all of his children's activities from Boy Scouts to basketball, baseball, and lacrosse. His grandchildren were the light of his life and gave him immense joy and comfort.
He is survived by his wife Stephanie (Cerone); parents Charlotte (Evans) and Joseph F. Lombardo Jr.; children: Joseph F. IV of Stamford, CT; Cary (Brian Ashby) and grandchildren Declan, Lochlan and Rennan; Kiel (Sandra) of Tampa, FL; Ashley; brother Bruce (Eileen); sister Kimberly Spears; sister Lisa (Terrance) Allen of Wake Forest, NC; aunts, uncle, nieces and nephews; many loyal and devoted friends.
On Saturday, March 9th a memorial service will be held at 10:30 am at Brunswick Baptist Church at 385 Grange Road (Rte 142) in Brunswick. Immediately following at noon, everyone is invited to a luncheon to celebrate Joe's life and love of a good party at Moscatiello's on Rte 4 in Troy.
The family would like to acknowledge a special thanks to all who have spent time in prayer, brought meals, and help in ways too numerous to mention.
If you wish to honor Joe's life, please consider a special contribution to two causes that he greatly supported and believed in; Warriors and Quiet Waters Foundation, PO Box 1165, Bozeman, MT 59771 www.warriorsandquietwaters.com or The Community Hospice of Albany County, 445 New Karner Road Albany, New York 12205-3809.
