LATHAM – Joseph Earl Glencamp, 70, passed away on June 15, 2007 at his home, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Brooklyn, NY he was the son of the late Louis and Elise Watson Glencamp. Mr. Glencamp was an Albany area resident for over forty years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. Joe worked for the NYS Dept. of Labor for 22 years until his retirement in 1999. Mr. Glencamp was a member of the Brooklyn College Alumni. He enjoyed reading, movies, computers, playing chess and listening to jazz music. Joe is the beloved "father" of Allister Calvin and Therese Etheart. He is also survived by his brother, Robert Earl and his sister, Nadine. He is the uncle of Destiny, Corynn and Jesiah. Joe was predeceased by his brother, Louis Glencamp and his sister, Naome Glencamp.
Funeral services will be Thursday evening at 6:00 at New Comer-Cannon Family Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave). Calling hours will precede the service from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in Pine Lawn Memorial Park in Farmingdale, NY on Friday at 12:00 noon.
