ALBANY- Joseph F. "Joe" Golembieski, 82, went home to the Lord and the angels in heaven on Thursday, August 24, 2017.
Joe was born on August 26, 1934 to the late Stanley and Apolonia Golembieski in Albany, NY. Joe will be remembered for his love of going to Polkas with his daughters and listening to the Polka Spotlight Show on Sunday mornings. His passion in life was his family, friends, and close neighbors.
"Popsie" is survived by his devoted children, Patricia Golembieski (Kevin) Wippich, Katherine Golembieski Okrasinski and Joseph (Jamie) Golembieski, his granddaughter, Alexis Eddy, his sisters, Therese Mongin and Sister Mary Daniel osf, his three grand-dogs who loved him dearly, Hero, Delilah, and Little Sissy, and a host of family, and friends.
Joe is predeceased by his beloved wife, Marjorie Rose Kessler- Golembieski, his three sisters, Stella Endres Baluch, Anne H. Dedeo, and Stacia C. Sesock; and his two brothers, Alexander J. and Stanley S. Golembieski.
Calling hours will be held at Christ our Light Church, 1 Maria Drive, Loudonville, NY 12211, on Tuesday, August 29, 2017, from 9:00am-11:00am, with a mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated immediately after. Burial will be held at Memory Gardens Cemetery, Colonie, NY.
