Joseph Howard

GUILDERLAND- Joseph E. Howard, 68 of Guilderland, passed away suddenly on Tuesday morning at his residence. He was born in Hempstead, NY and was the son of the late George and Jane Stodalski Howard.
Joe was a US Navy veteran serving from 1957 to 1961. He has been a resident of Guilderland for 38 years. He was a machine operator with NL Industries in Colonie and Campbell Plastics in Schenectady. An avid baseball fan, Joe coached his son's youth baseball teams for several years. He enjoyed walking and gardening.
Joe is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Lorraine Howard; his children, Dane Howard (Carol), Darren Howard (Michelle) and Christine Howard; his cherished grandchildren, Ryan, Kaylee and Nicholas Howard. He is the brother of Walter Howard, Russell Howard, Jane Beautikant and the late Marion Borislowski. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be Friday morning at 8:15 at NewComer-Cannon Family Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave) then to St. Gabriel's Church, Rotterdam at 9:00 where the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Calling hours will be Thursday from 5 to 8 pm at the funeral home. Interment will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 440 New Karner Rd.
