Colonie - Joseph A. Husselbeck "Joe" passed away peacefully on October 26, 2018 surrounded by the love of his family.
He was born on July 20, 1932 son of the late Francis and Margaret Husselbeck in Albany, NY.
Joe graduated from the former Keveny Memorial Academy in Cohoes, NY. He attended Russell Sage College in Albany, NY.
Joe was a Veteran of the US Navy. He proudly served aboard the USS Fulton. He was also a member of The American Legion in Little River, SC.
He was employed by the State of New York for over 28 years, retiring as the Finance Officer of the State Div. of Veterans Affairs. In 1997, he relocated to Myrtle Beach, SC.
In addition to his parents, Joe was predeceased by his brother, Reverend Father Francis Husselbeck.
Joe is survived by his two sisters, Sister Mary Francesca Husselbeck, RSM of Albany and Ellen Feeney (Gary) of Niskayuna; children, Eric Husselbeck (Joanna) of Las Vegas, NV, Judith Husselbeck (Mike Savoca) of Ballston Spa, Kurt Husselbeck (Andrea) of Schenectady, Kevin Husselbeck (Shannon) of Huntington and their mother, Marilyn Husselbeck of Colonie; grandchildren, Kesandra Husselbeck, Ryan Husselbeck, Owen Husselbeck, Ian Husselbeck, Kieran Husselbeck, Jamyn Husselbeck.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, November 2, 2018 at 10:00 am at St. Madeleine Sophie Church, 3500 Carman Road, Schenectady, New York 12303. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, November 1, 2018 from 4:00-6:00pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Rd., Albany, NY 12205. A vigil service will begin at 6:00pm, with a time to share memories following. Interment will be held following Mass at Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery.
Joe's family wishes to extend their most heartfelt gratitude to all of his wonderful friends, especially, Nick Riccio and Sharon Kurpen.
