SELKIRK – Joseph J. "I Love It" Ganance, 84, passed away peacefully in his sleep with his wife by his side on Monday, December 30, 2013 at St. Peter's Hospital.
Joseph was born on July 22, 1929 in Rensselaer and was the son of the late Clarence and Marie (Jones) Ganance. He served in the US Army. He was a truck driver and a member of Teamsters Local 294, retiring from Red Star Express in Glenmont.
Joseph is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Mildred (Wickham) Ganance; his loving daughters, Chris (Joe) Breen, Bev (the late John) Gilchrist, Ang (the late Bill) Dutton, and Dee (the late Lou) Caprara; his siblings, Marie "Lammy" Mull, Vida Boyd and Doris Hodges; 8 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his siblings, Herbie, Clarence "Sonny", Edith Narzymski, Maureen Hall, Gladys Goca, Betty Bailey and Helen George.

Calling hours will be held Thursday at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Interment will follow calling hours at Memory Gardens in Colonie. There will be no service.
