COLONIE - Joseph J. "Joe Bell" Isabella, Jr., 67, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 10, 2012 at The Hospice Inn at St. Peter's Hospital, with his loving family at his side.
Joe was born on November 9, 1945 in Albany and was the son of the late Joseph J. and Anna E. (Welter) Isabella. He served in the US Navy from 1962 to 1967. He was a car salesman for Metro Ford in Schenectady. He was a batboy for the Albany Senators and an avid Yankees and Giants fan and loved sports in general. He enjoyed spending time with his family but especially loved his grandchildren dearly. He was a member of the American Legion Joseph E. Zaloga Post #1520.
The family would like to thank Metro Ford for their kindness and support, to Community Hospice at St Peter's Hospice Inn for their care and compassion and to Joe's sisters-in-law, Maggie, Tuddie, Ginger and Marie for all of their love and support.
Joe is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Liz Isabella; his loving children, Marcy (Travis Manchester) Isabella, Joseph P. Isabella, Robin (Ron) Ramundo and James Olszewski; his cherished grandchildren, Gianna Isabella, Michael Kallner and Renee Ramundo; his sister, Carolyn (Doug) Arentshort and several cousins, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister, Sharon Isabella.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday at 10 a.m. at St. Pius X Church, 23 Crumite Road, Loudonville. Calling hours will be held at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie on Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m.
