Joseph J. Kardos was born December 14, 1944 in Schenectady, NY. He was the son of the late Edward and Sadie Kardos.
Joseph worked for the state of New York for 31 years, retiring from the NYS DMV. He enjoyed bowling and playing games (pogo) on his computer. He also enjoyed shuffleboard with his friend Steve. Joseph belonged to the Schenectady Moose Lodge for years and is a member of the Rotterdam Eagles Club.
Joseph is predeceased by his wife of 50 years, Elizabeth Kardos. He is also predeceased by his step son, John August.
Joseph is survived by his daughter Nancy (David) Blyth; step-daughters, Robyn August, Margaret (Joe) Bonitatibus, and Debbie (Paul) Stewart. He is also survived by his 11 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren, who will greatly miss their Poppy.
A Celebration of Life will take place on Saturday, September 10, 2022 at the Rotterdam Eagles Club, 23 Mariaville Rd, Rotterdam, NY 12306.
