East Greenbush- Joseph John Leichenauer II passed away on January 25, 2024 after a brief illness surrounded by his loving family.
Joseph was born on August 6, 1943 to the late Joseph Leichenauer and Margaret Spangenberg. He grew up in Albany and graduated from Bethlehem Central High School. He served in the U.S. Army Reserves. In 1966 he married he high school sweetheart , Judith Zboray and they had four children.
Joseph is survived by his wife of 57 years, Judith Leichenauer. Joseph will also be missed by his children, Barbara Bishop (Thomas), Lisa Mercado (Harry), Joseph Leichenauer III (Rebecca) and Tracy Cullum (Todd). He was the loving Papa to Brittney Kline, Ryan Bishop, Tanner Bishop, Christie Cullum, Nicholas Cullum, Joseph Leichenauer IV and great grandson Jackson Bishop. He is also survived by his sister, Elizabeth Livingston.
