Joseph M. Marro

DELMAR- Joseph M. Marro, 54, of Delmar, passed away peacefully on Tuesday morning at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Troy and is the son of Albert P. Marro and the late Mary D. Nicoll Marro.
Joe was the owner and proprietor of Joseph Marro Cleaning Systems. His hardwork and determination were hallmarks of his successful business. Joe enjoyed coaching his sons in Tri Village Little League, Bethlehem Babe Ruth and Bethlehem basketball. He was a former member of the Court Club, Shaker Ridge and Normanside Country Clubs.
Joe's family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks and appreciation to Dr. Susan Weaver of NYOH for her unwavering support and guidance. We are also grateful to the remarkable caregivers of the Dana Farber Institute.
Joe is survived by his beloved wife of 25 years, Laura M. Ziter Marro; his sons, Andrew J., Joseph A. and Johnathan A. Marro. He is the devoted brother of Samuel (Christine) Marro, Michael (Colleen) Marro, Patricia Marro (Neil Clasen), Donna (John) Cannon and Andrew T. Marro. Joe is the son in law of Joseph A. and Margaret R. Ziter. He is also survived by many cherished brother and sister in laws, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday morning at 9:30 at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, Delmar. Calling hours will be Friday from 3 to 8 pm at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Troy.
