COLONIE – Joseph M. Maniscalco, Sr., 80, entered into eternal rest on May 3, 2023, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born in Albany on January 15, 1943 a son of the late Nicholas and Antoinette "Ann" (Szelvian) Maniscalco.
Joe worked for fifty-seven years for the Times Union until his retirement.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, music, sports and the race track. He also enjoyed playing cards with family and friends. Joes was a longtime member of the Elks.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Richy.
Joe is survived by his loving wife, June; his sons, Joseph, Jr. and Christopher; his granddaughter, Kirra; his brother, Nick (Madonna); his sister-in-law, Susan and many nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, May 10, 2023 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, May 11, 2023 at 11:00 am. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens. Online condolences may be expressed at www.NewComerAlbany.com
