ALBANY – Joseph Manti, 86, of Albany, formerly of Stuyvesant, NY, passed away on Wednesday March 23, 2011 at Albany Medical Center after a valiant battle with cancer.
He was born in Rensselaer and was the son of the late James and Amelia Manti. Joe enjoyed boating on the Hudson River and tending to the family homes he built at Kinderhook Lake and Stuyvesant, NY. He worked for forty three years on the railroad, retiring in 1987. He was predeceased by his siblings, Vincent Manti, Rosemary Baumann and Beatrice Crecca.
Joe is survived by his beloved wife of 39 years, Marjorie Hotaling Manti. He is the devoted father of Mary Amelia (Augustus) Sanda, Cheryl (Joseph) Sico and the late James Manti. Joe is the cherished grandfather of Joseph Grande, Alison Sico and Alex Sico.
The family expresses their sincere appreciation and thank you to the wonderful staff at NYOH for their kind and loving care.
Funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 260 Osborne Rd. Loudonville, NY 12211.
