Joseph S. Marino of Schenectady passed away peacefully at Ellis Hospital on Wednesday, March 3, 2021.
Born in Albany, Joseph (Joe) was the son of Joseph J. Marino and Susan C. (Vazzana) Marino. Beloved son-in-law of Joseph and Rosemarie McGinnis of Troy.
Joseph was the beloved husband, of Suzanne (McGinnis) Marino of Troy for 32 years. Joseph grew up in Albany, attended Cardinal McCloskey High School and graduated from H.V.C.C.
He was the co-owner of Horan's Bar and Grill. Served as a volunteer auctioneer at many events, including Blessed Sacrament in Albany. Joe's love of people brought him to work for Option Care.
Joe had a deep love for family, friends, music and his home. He loved animals and adopted rescue dogs. Joe brought laughter, compassion, love and genuine kindness to everyone.
He is survived by his beloved sister, Noreen Walker and brother-in-law, Fred; sisters-in-law, Anne (Paul) McEnaney, and Joanne (Gus) Bessinger; nieces: Chloe, Gwen, and Sophia; and nephews: Chuck and Charlie.
Relatives and friends may call 4:00pm – 7:00pm on Thursday, March 11, 2021 at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie. The funeral service will be held at New Comer on Friday, March 12, 2021 at 11:00am. Interment will follow at Elmwood Hill Cemetery, 51 Belle Ave, Troy, NY. Gathering size within our chapels will be based on the most current NYS occupancy requirements. Masks are required and social distancing is to be observed inside and outside of our chapels.
