Joseph F. Markiewicz

Clifton Park- Joseph F. Markiewicz, 70, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 20, 2023. He was the son of the late Joseph and Dorothy Markiewicz. Joseph (Joe) was the devoted husband to Virginia Markiewicz. They were married 40 years.
In addition to his wife, Joe is survived by his daughter, Paula Markiewicz Traeger; his son, Gregory Markiewicz; his brother, Steve Markiewicz; and his sister Dorothy Vojnar.
In addition to his parents, Joe is predeceased by his brother, Eileen Littrell; and sister, Janice Moore.
After graduating High School, Joe enlisted in the United States Air Force where he served proudly until his honorable discharge. Joe went on to work as a Computer Programmer, finishing his career working for New York State. Throughout his career, Joe found many friends in his coworkers, and enjoyed his life outside of work. He could often be found tinkering with antiques, or researching local historical facts. Joe was a creative man with many talents, abilities, and a knack for unique projects.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Joe's name, to any local food pantries or programs for those in need.
