Joseph P. Faulkner, 75, on Wednesday, June 15th, 2011, early in the morning, the old ship of Zion stopped at the Veteran's Administration Hospital. Suddenly and without hesitation, Joseph rose from his bed and stepped on board. He was glad to be in the presence of the Lord.
Joseph was born in Halifax, VA. He was the third child born to the late Lemon and Fannie Faulkner. He proudly served in the United States Army. He leaves to cherish his memory and mourn his passing, his four daughters, Dorothy A. (Carl) Bruce of El Paso, TX, Constance L. (Landron) Williams of Houston, TX, Jacqueline A. Faulkner of Killeen, TX and Sandra D. Mack of Greensboro, NC; his three sons, Joseph Faulkner, Jr., Vincent and Sean Faulkner.; 22 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Ida White and Frances Faulkner; two brothers, John and Larry Faulkner; one brother-in-law, Arthur Nelson, Sr., and a host of nieces and nephews. Preceding him in his death along with his parents are three siblings, Roxy Nelson, Doris and George Faulkner, and one brother-in-law, Clarence White, Sr.
Funeral Service will be Tuesday at 12 noon at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie. A calling hour will precede the service from 11 to 12 at the funeral home. Interment will follow the service at Graceland Cemetery, Albany, NY.
