Albany- Joseph F. Paolucci, Sr., 102, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 16, 2021.
He was born on February 28, 1919 in Albany, NY son of the late Loreto and Antoinette (DeFranco) Paolucci.
Joe was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army. Joe worked as a furniture salesman at Union Furniture and Breslaw's. He then worked as an insurance agent for Met Life. He donated to various charities throughout his life. He was a devoted husband and father. Joe enjoyed many different sports and spending time with his family, especially his son Joseph, Jr. He will be dearly missed.
He was predeceased by his beloved wife Julia (Salomone) Paolucci; siblings, Anthony Paolucci, Michael Paolucci, Linda Fisher (Douglas), Mary Aveyard.
Joe is survived by his son Joseph F. Paolucci, Jr.; brother, Guido Paolucci and many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, March 24, 2021 at 10:30 am at Blessed Sacrament Church, 607 Central Ave., Albany, NY 12206. Calling hours will be held prior to Mass from 9:00am-10:00am at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Rd., Albany NY 12205. Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery, Glenmont.
Gathering size within our chapels will be based up on the more current NYS guidelines. Masks and social distancing are required.
Joe's family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at St. Peter's Hospital, The Delmar Center for Rehab and Nursing and the staff at Albany Med for their kindness and care.
