HICKSVILLE - Joseph F. Rohan III, 74, passed away on Friday, May 5, 2023 at the Long Island State Veterans Home.
Joseph was born on July 30, 1948 in Brooklyn, NY and was the son of the late Joseph F. Rohan Jr. and Margaret Bucalo Rohan.
Joe served in the US Army from 1969 to 1971, attaining the rank of Sergeant. He worked as a peace officer for the Nassau County Courts. He then went on to work as a sales director for many years before retiring. He enjoyed beaches and loved politics especially the Democratic Party. He also loved spending time with his family especially his grandchildren. He was super optimistic and enjoyed life to the fullest.
Joe is survived by his loving daughters, Darlene Latinski and Shari Rohan; his cherished grandchildren, Sofia Mbye, Jackson Latinksi, Alexa Latinski, and Adaline Latinski; his devoted siblings, Linda Fare and Kenneth (Connie) Rohan; his adored nieces and nephews, James Fare, Laurie (Kevin) McGill, Zachary Fare, Kaylee McGill, Sean Rohan.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 9, at 12:00 p.m. at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 181 Troy Schenectady Road, Watervliet. A calling hour will precede the service from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.. Interment will follow the service at Albany Rural Cemetery in Menands.
