ALBANY- Joseph C. Rosano, 89, of Albany went home to eternal rest on Saturday, December 23, 2017.
He was born in Albany and was the son of the late Louis and Alice Rosano.
Joe was married to his beloved wife Ruth for 52 years until her passing in 2005.
Joe graduated from Philip Schuyler High School. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Navy stationed at the U.S. Naval Submarine Base in Key West, Fl. He was employed for many years with the John Hancock Life Insurance Company and most recently he worked at Interim Health Care for 16 years until his passing.
He was an active member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church. Joe was a member of Masters Lodge No.5 F.&A.M. for 48 years and was a recipient of the Dedicated Service Award.
Joe was the father to, Ruth (Brian) Reilly of Altamont and Joseph L. (Rebecca) Rosano of Fl.; grandfather of, Shawna Reilly (Jesse Frank), Katelyn (Noah) Adams, Erin, Joy, Julianna Rosano and the late Justin Reilly. He is also survived by his great-grandchildren, Renaé, Micah, Josiah, Luke Adams, Iris Frank; sister, Frances Foland; dear friend, Annette Aluise and many dear nieces, nephews and cousins.
Joe was predeceased by his late brother, Carmelo Rosano; his late brothers-in law, Burke Foland, Elmer (Ruth) Adriance.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Dr. William Feeney and Kathleen Marshall, NP for their compassion and continued care and also The Community Hospice Foundation for their support.
Calling hours will be held on January 8, 2018 from 4:00pm-7:00pm. at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Rd., Albany, NY 12205. A memorial service will begin at 7:00pm. Graveside services will be private.
