NORTH GREENBUSH – Joseph S. Wilary, 89, passed away on Monday, June 17, 2013 at Albany Memorial Hospital.

Born in Schenectady, Joseph was the son of the late John and Veronica (Wiesczynski) Wilary. He was a graduate of Nott Terrace High School and served in the US Army during WWII. He worked for the US Post Office for 30 years and then CSC Corp for 10 years before retiring. He was an avid bowler, fisherman and sports fan with the St. Louis Cardinal's his favorite team.

Joseph was the beloved husband of 18 years to Helen M. (Divinsky) Wilary. He is survived by his stepson, Michael J. (Donna) Kowalczyk; his sisters, Helen (Stanley) Zejewski and Clara (the late Ted) Pajak; his grandchildren, Kris and Kaylee Kowalczyk and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, John Wilary and sisters, Frances L. Krawiecki and Regina Wilary.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Church of St. Michael the Archangel, 175 Williams Road, North Greenbush. Visitation will be prior to the Mass at the church starting at 9:30 a.m. Interment will be held at the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery in Schuylerville.
