Joseph F. Santa Lucia

ALBANY - It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Joseph F. Santa Lucia, 86, of Albany, N.Y., who passed away on Sunday, December 22, 2024.

Joe was born on September 28, 1938 in Albany to the late Mary and Joseph Santa Lucia. He proudly served in the US Air Force and was a man of many talents, enjoying a diverse career performing various roles, such as HVAC, welding, construction, and eventually retired from the Lake George Club, where he worked as a maintenance supervisor. Joe had a passion for antique cars, and a deep love of music. He was a devoted member of the Tri-County Banjo Band for 20 years. With his many musical talents, Joe had the opportunity to entertain countless people and seniors over his lifetime. He was loved by family and friends for his sense of humor and hearty laughter.

Joe is survived by his wife, Lupe Santa Lucia; his four children, Antoinette McDonald (Michael), Mary Colvin (Matt), Joseph Santa Lucia (Jill), and Terri Brew (Patric); his brothers, Robert Santa Lucia (Mary), Dennis Santa Lucia (Ernestine) and George Bielkiewicz; his four grandchildren, Joseph Santa Lucia, Alexandra McDonald, Mary Santa Lucia and Emma Brew; and several cousins, nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank the staff at Hudson Park Rehabilitation & Nursing Home for their care for Joseph.

Services will be private to the immediate family.
