ALBANY - Joseph Richard Sidoti, 78, of Albany, NY passed away into eternal life surrounded by his loving family on January 14, 2023 after a long illness.

Joseph was born in Albany, NY on March 22, 1944 a son of the late Anthony (Bosti) and Mary (Goitz) Sidoti. He graduated from Philip Schuyler High School and joined his father and brothers to run a family business (Manor Department Store) in the South End of Albany for over 40 years. He was also an employee of Albany County where he worked part time as a security guard throughout most of his adulthood.

On April 24th, 1971 he married his beloved wife, Rosalie (Torturo) at St. James Church in Albany, NY. They celebrated 51 years together, residing in Albany, NY.

Joseph enjoyed listening to songs by his favorite musician, Elvis Presley, watching Country & Western movies, the Christmas season, but mostly coming home after a long day at work to join his family to eat his favorite pasta dinners. Joseph was compassionate and loved his entire family.

Leaving behind to cherish many memories include his wife, Rosalie and children: Gina (Cory) Sidoti-Wickham of Guilderland, Joseph Jr. (Keri) Sidoti of East Greenbush, Marisa (John) Montefusco of Long Island, Mattia (Joseph) Sidoti- LaVigne ll of Voorheesville, Jeffrey Sidoti of The Bronx NY, Grandchildren: Alexis (Phil) Franzoni, Matthew (Clare) Bruno, Ashley (Anthony) Bruno-Metellus, Matteo Sidoti, Joseph LaVigne III, Mason LaVigne, Johnny Montefusco, Valentina Sidoti, Lucia Montefusco, Great-Grandchildren: Brooklyn Bruno, Matthew Bruno Jr., Arielle Metellus. Brother: Anthony (Antoinette) Sidoti, Sisters: Mary Martha Fazio, Frances (William)McCoy. Sister in-law: Patricia Sidoti, Brother in-law; Michael Torturo, Sister in-law: Phyllis Torturo and many nieces, nephes, cousins and friends

He was predeceased and reunited with his loving Parents; Brothers: Thomas Sidoti and Louis Sidoti, Sister: Bernadette Sidoti, Sister in-law: Louise Barr, Brother in-law: Anthony Fazio, Sister in-law: Mary Sidoti. Also his K-9 son: Rocky.

Our Family would like to extend our gratitude and thanks to Hospice, Dr. Burke and the entire staff at Our Lady Of Mercy Life Center, Guilderland NY for the loving care our Father received during his last year of life, especially his final moments. We would also like to extend our gratitude and thanks to Sylvia Legg, who accompanied Rosalie everyday to OLM, making it possible to care for our beloved Husband/Father.

All are invited to call from 2:00pm 4:00pm with a memorial immediately following at 4:00 pm on January 22, 2023 at New Comer Cremations and Funerals, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie NY 12205.

Memorial contributions in Joseph's name may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or St. Jude's Childrens' Research Hospital.
