Joseph T. Rozniewski Sr.

COLONIE – Joseph T. Rozniewski Sr., 74, of Colonie, passed away Tuesday January 24, 2011 at the Inn of Community Hospice.
He was born in Albany and was a1956 graduate of Albany High School. Joe is the son of Bertha Hazelton and the late Francis Rozniewski. He was a truck driver for Staples, retiring in 2000. Joe enjoyed golf and cruising the Caribbean with his family. He was a longtime member of the Arbor Hill Bowling League and a fan of the New York Mets and New York Giants.
Joe is survived by his beloved wife of 53 years, Anne Boice Rozniewski; his children, Frances (Walter) Jones, Joseph (Kathleen) Rozniewski Jr. and Theresa (Sebastian) Cortese. He is the cherished grandfather of Michael and Jennifer Emerick, Courtney Jones, Brett and Jessica Rozniewski, Jenna, Gabriella and Mikaela Cortese. Joe is the brother of Anthony (Patricia) Rozniewski, Louis (Nevada) Rozniewski and Sandra Lieberman. He is also survived several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Saturday morning at 8:15 at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie then to St. Clare's Church at 9:00 where the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Calling hours will be Friday evening from 5 to 8 pm at the funeral home. Interment will be in Memory Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to Community Hospice of Albany, 445 New Karner Rd. Albany, NY 12205 in memory of Joseph T. Rozniewski Sr.
