Joseph C. Young

Albany- It is with great sadness that the family of Joseph C. Young announces his sudden passing on Friday, June 1, 2018 at the age of 68 years.

Joseph is survived by a son, Joseph T. Young; grandson, Charles McCormick; granddaughter, Alexis E. McCormick, of Albany; brothers, William (Ruth) of Delmar, Emerson and Nathaniel, both of California. He is also survived by a special friend, Frances Burton, of Albany and a host of nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. Joseph was predeceased by his parents, Samuel and Edna Young; daughter, Tanya J. McCormick; sister, Ethel Lee Knox; brothers, Mastrow, Lemo and Donald Young.

Joseph was a proud Vietnam Veteran, serving from 1969 to 1975. He was a Specialist E4, received a good conduct medal and was an active vet in the Albany community. His steadfast devotion to his family and friends will be greatly missed.

Going home services will be held Wednesday, June 13, 2018 at 11am at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie, 12205, where a calling hour will be held prior starting at 10am. Joseph will be interred at Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, 200 Duell Road, Schuylerville, 12871.
