ALBANY – Josephine (Tarnowski) Brunetto, 89, passed away on Sunday, October 15, 2006 at her home, surrounded by her loving family.
Josephine was born on April 8, 1917 in Amsterdam, NY and was the daughter of the late Andrew and Victoria (Jastrzemski) Tarnowski. She retired from the Albany Police Department as a school crossing guard after many years of service.
The family would like to thank the staff at Community Hospice of Albany for their kind and gentle care they gave to Josephine during her illness.
Josephine is survived by her sons, Joseph (Peggie) Brunetto of Colonie and Thomas (Maguy) Brunetto of Pinellas Park, FL and her daughter, Rosann Brunetto of Albany. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, six great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph C. Brunetto; her sons, Donald and Ross Brunetto; sisters, Mary Dybas, Edna Waschak and Bertha Cuniff and her brothers, John and William Tarnowski.
Relative and friends are invited to call at New Comer-Cannon Family Funeral Home 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie on Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be made to Community Hospice of Albany 445 New Karner Rd., Albany, NY 12205 in memory of Josephine Brunetto.
