COLONIE- Josephine DeJulio, 90, of Colonie, went to be with the Lord on Thursday October 16, 2008 at Evergreen Commons Nursing Home. She was born in Albany and was the daughter of the late Lorenzo and Concetta Alvaro.
Josephine had worked at the former Fashion Care Cleaners, Vallee Steakhouse and Millbrook Bakery. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting and baking goodies for her family. Josephine always had a smile for everyone and she had a loving disposition.
She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph T. DeJulio, her daughter Connie, her siblings, Carmella Gabriel, Mary Clow, Lorenzo, Anthony and Joseph (Merf) Alvaro.
She is the beloved mother of Joseph (Nancy) DeJulio, of Streamwood, IL., James (Denise) DeJulio of Overland Park, KS, John (Maria) DeJulio of Olathe, KS and Joan (Brian) Wacksman of Latham and son in thought Bruce (Nancy) Quay. She is the sister of Angelina Appis, Martha Livolsi and Nancy Mennito. Josephine is the cherished grandmother of Terry Thomson, Gina Symington, Joe, Adam, Shawn, Nicholas, Eric, and Jake DeJulio. She is the great grandmother of Ryan Thomson. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be Tuesday morning at 10:00 at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave). Calling hours will be Monday from 4 to 8 pm at the funeral home. Interment will be in Our Lady of Angels Cemetery.
