Josephine Fetsko

COLONIE – Josephine Loretta Fetsko, passed away peacefully at St. Peter's Hospital on Friday, March 8th at the age of 92.

Born February 16, 1921, Josephine was the daughter of the late Jerry and Joanina Scaglio. She grew up in Marianna, Pennsylvania and moved to Colonie in 1962 with her husband and children. A longtime Colonie resident, Josephine was a communicant of St. Clare's Church.

Josephine was a caring and giving person who would do anything for anyone. Her passion in life was cooking and baking for her family. She was an avid reader and kept her family laughing with her quick wit. She spent countless hours in her prized perennial flower garden.

Josephine is survived by her husband of 65 years, John A. Fetsko, Sr. She is the beloved mother of John A. Fetsko, Jr. (Gail) of Colonie and Geary S. Fetsko (Michelle) of Clifton Park. She was the cherished grandmother of Jennifer Fetsko, Andrew Fetsko (Drea), Lauren Reynolds (Seth), Danielle Wright (Kevin).

The family wishes to extend a special thank you for the compassionate care and encouragement given to Josephine and her husband John by Hospice Home Care staff member Reshma Seecheran. Additionally, we would like to acknowledge all the staff at St. Peter's Hospice for their support.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, March 12th at 9 a.m. at St. Clare's Church, Colonie. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Monday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie. Interment will follow the Mass at St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands.
