Albany- On May 14, 2016 God peacefully escorted the spirit of Josephine Goldston-Jackson to her heavenly home. She was born September 2, 1951 to the late Robert Lee and Odessa (Moore) Goldston.
Josephine was educated in the Albany school system. She worked at Albany Medical Center, Veterans Administration Hospital and the Schenectady School system in their food service department. She later became a full time house wife. Josephine was an avid Bingo player and loved the outdoors and spending time with her family and friends. She also enjoyed traveling to vacation spots, both domestic and foreign.
Josephine was the beloved wife of James W. Jackson, the cherished Mother of Letha Wilson (St. Peters, Florida), Deborah Franklin, Taft Jackson , Tyrell Jackson (all of Troy, NY), Tamera Alvaro (Colonie, NY). Josephine also leaves behind her siblings; Marie Goldston, Robert Goldston, Benjamin Goldston, Samuel Michaels, Mary Hall and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. We will all cherish her memory forever in our hearts and she will be truly missed.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother Albert Michael.
Home Going services will be held on Tuesday, May 24, 2016, at Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church, 159 Quail Street, Albany, NY, from 9:00 to 11:00 am with the service to follow at 11:00 am.
