Josephine R. Buzzo

COLONIE – Josephine R. Buzzo, 94, passed away on Saturday, June 08, 2013 after a brief illness. Born in Middle Granville, NY she was the daughter of the late Patrick and Beatrice Francis. She lived in Colonie for all of her life. Josephine was the beloved wife of the late Joseph Buzzo. She was the devoted mother of Rose Polito and her husband, Sam with who she lived with for thirty one years.

Living with her daughter and son-in-law, she helped with cooking and helping raise her grandchildren. She was an intricate part of their lives and lived for her grandchildren. Josephine is the cherished grandmother of Shelli and Scott Jaracz, Sammy and Korin Polito and Juliannne and Richard Reynolds and the loving great-grandmother of Joanna Jaracz and Milana Polito. Also surviving is her sister, Jane Peeler and several nieces and nephews.


Funeral services will be Wednesday at 8:15 a.m. at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave.) then to St. Clare's Church, Colonie at 9:00 a.m. where the Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Calling hours will be Tuesday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in Sts. Cyril & Method Cemetery, Rotterdam.
