Tobler, Josephine (Trzcinski) COLONIE Josephine Tobler passed away Friday, October 2, 2009 at her own home surrounded by her loving family. Born in Watervliet on February 20, 1926, she was one of ten children to the late Joseph and Helen Brezina Trzcinski and graduated from Watervliet High School in 1943. She retired from NYS Department of Tax and Finance and was the beloved wife of the late Eugene J. Tobler. She is survived by her three sons: Paul (Anita), Leonard (Lydia) and Gary Tobler; two daughters: Susan (Tom) Lansley and Carol (Donald) Birks; eight grandchildren: Steven, Derek, Kevin, Tommy, Keith, Emily, Greg and Heather and four great-grandchildren: Maggie, Kate, Megan and Tony. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her son, David Tobler. She also is survived by sister, Cecelia (Frank-deceased) Jacon; brother, Paul (Roberta) Trzcinski, sister-in-law Marie Tobler and Lee Tobler; and many nieces and nephews. The funeral services will be held Wednesday 8:30 a.m. from New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155 south of Central Ave.) then to St. Clare's Church, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. Calling hours will be Tuesday 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Latham. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Colonie Senior Service Centers, Inc., 6 Winners Circle, Colonie, NY 12205.
