CLIFTON PARK – Josephine Wilson, 85, passed away on Saturday, November 21, 2009 at the Teresian House in Albany.
Josephine was born on July 7, 1924 in Cobleskill, NY and was the daughter of the late David E. and Mary (Gordon) Wilson, Jr. She worked for the Department of Motor Vehicle in Albany for over 35 years before retiring in 1981. She attended the Malta Ridge Methodist Church and volunteered at the Shaker Heritage Society. She resided in Clifton Park for 40 years before relocating to Schenectady in 2007. She enjoyed quilting, gardening and traveling.
In addition to her parents, Josephine is predeceased by her brother, David E. Wilson III and her sister, Gertrude W. Salisbury.
Josephine is survived by her nieces, Elizabeth A. (John) La Clair of Schenectady, Linda Day of Philadelphia, PA, and Mary Cook of Ohio; her nephews, Albert R. (Judith) Salisbury of Phoenix, AZ and David E. (Beth) Wilson IV of New Jersey; her sister-in-law, Jean T. Wilson of Rochester, VT and several great nieces and great nephews.
Funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association of Northeastern NY, Pine West Plaza, Bldg. 4, Suite 405, Washington Ave. Ext., Albany NY 12205 in memory of Josephine Wilson.
