NASSAU, NY – Joyce B. Clark, 70, of Nassau, passed away on Wednesday, March 12, 2008, under the care of hospice at St. Peter's Hospital, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Albany, she was the daughter of the late Stanley and Mary Goldup. Joyce had resided in Nassau for 33 years. She worked for Sears for many years before her retirement. Mrs. Clark was devoted to her family and especially enjoyed spending time with them. Joyce was the beloved wife of the late Hugh F. Clark. She is the devoted mother of Dawn M. (David) Scalisi and Stanley F. (Robin Mesko) Clark. She is the loving sister of Jean Rowe and Janice Fennelly. She is the cherished grandmother of Heather (Peter) Delair, Stacie (Trevor Wallace) Scalisi, April (T.J.) Fraser, Victoria Scalisi, Joshua Clark, and Jimmy and Ryan Mesko. She is the great-grandmother of Cheyenne and Gage Delair, Thomas and Lucas Fraser and Ethan Wallace. Also surviving are several beloved nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday morning at 11:00 at the Chapel of Infant of Prague at Teresian House, 200 Washington Ave. Extension, Albany. Calling hours will be Friday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at New Comer-Cannon Family Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave). Interment will be held in the spring at New Rural Cemetery, Rensselaer. Memorial contributions may be made to Community Hospice of Albany, 445 New Karner Rd., Albany, NY 12205 in memory of Joyce B.
