Joyce Cerone

Colonie - Joyce Cerone passed away on Tuesday, July 14, 2009. Joyce was born in Brooklyn, NY on August 5, 1934. Joyce managed several jewelry stores in Colonie, Rotterdam and Cape Cod. She was an avid gardener and loved to spend time cooking with her family and enjoying her grandchildren.

Joyce was predeceased by her parents Emil J. Jubrey, Sr. and Hester A. Jubrey (Hoben), her sisters Leonia Paxton, Lucille Davis and Bertha Jubrey, and her brothers John Moser and Emil J. Jubrey, Jr.

Joyce is survived by her sister Irene Meisner of Philadelphia, PA and her brother Edward Jubrey of Selkirk, NY as well as her three children - Gene W. Cerone of Watertown, MA, Sandy A. Miller (husband William H.) of Latham, NY and Holli A. Palmer (husband Jayson C.) of Colonie, NY. She is the proud grandmother of Blaze Tankersley (wife Jennifer), Joshua Cerone, Nina Cerone, David Miller, Emily Miller, James Mahar, Heather Mahar, Rahmone Palmer and Jayda Palmer.

Funeral services, led by Pastor Charles Gay, will be Monday, July 20, 2009 at 10 am, New Comer-Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie, NY. The entombment will follow at Memory's Garden, Colonie. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday from 3-5 pm.
