Joyce L. Fitzgibbon

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Joyce Fitzgibbon, who was born on April 3, 1951 and passed away on December 24, 2024. She was living in Clifton Park, New York. Joyce was pre-deceased by her parents, Howard and Thelma Walker and her sister, Dana Rafferty.

Joyce is survived by her two loving children, Lawrence Fitzgibbon and Matthew Fitzgibbon. Lawrence is married to Aleda Fitzgibbon. Joyce leaves behind one cherished grandchild, Brian and one great grandchild Bobby Grace. Joyce also leaves behind two siblings, Richard Walker (Zoe) and Deborah Dundon (Al).

Joyce was a graduate of Shenendehowa High School. She went on to work for New York State where she retired from after almost thirty years in 2013. She was known for her beautiful singing voice and her passion for music. Joyce's voice could always bring comfort and joy to those around her. Joyce enjoyed the outdoors with family and friends. She liked to camp, kayak and ride her bike with her loved ones.

Joyce will be remembered for her kind and compassionate nature, her love for her family, friends, and her dedication to her work. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Calling hours will be held on Saturday, January 4, 2025 from 11am-1pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie, NY 12205. A memorial service will begin at 1pm at the funeral home.
