Scotia- Joyce Gordon, age 74, passed away peacefully at home with her family on May 19th, 2021.
She was born in Albany, the daughter of Clarence Rockenstire and Margaret Rockenstire (Hanley).
She was the wife of David R. Gordon. She was predeceased by two daughters: Melissa Smith and Lisa Golden.
Joyce enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and her family, traveling, Moose conventions and Mariaville Lake. Joyce worked at Fleet Bank for many years and was a member of the Women of the Moose Chapter 188.
She is survived by her five grandchildren: Joshua (Stacy) Gordon, Joseph (Jessica) Pixley, Justen (Kristal) Pixley, Brandon Golden, Christopher Golden; Also 2 brothers and 5 sisters (Joyce was 1 of 10 sisters and 2 brothers), many other relatives and friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her calling hours on Tuesday, June 1, 2021 from 9 to 11 a.m. at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie NY. A service will follow at 11 a.m. Interment will be held at 1p.m. at Gerald BH Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, 200 Duell Road, Schuylerville.
