Joyce (Haggerty) Carroll

Joyce F. (Haggerty) Carroll, 69, of Colonie died peacefully Wednesday June 10, 2009 with her loving family by her side.
Joyce was born in Albany September 25, 1939, the daughter of the late Rose M. and Richard P. Haggerty. She worked for Albany County Board of Elections as the Democratic Administrator for 25 years retiring in 2003 and was a member of St. Mary's Rosary Society. Joyce's quick wit and love of life will be remembered by all who knew her. She was predeceased by her husband William F. Carroll, Sr. and brought up five children on her own.

Joyce is the loving mother of Colleen (Joe) Rubino of Melrose, Victoria Carroll of Memphis, TN, Tracy (Steve) Boldish of Loudonville, William F. Carroll, Jr. of Colonie and Anthony (Anne) Carroll of Loudonville, devoted grandmother of Ryan, Kaitlyn and Zachary Urschel, Jamie and Stephen Boldish, Ashley and William F. Carroll, III and Samantha, Anthony and Annalise Carroll. She is also beloved sister of Richard, Jr., Michael, Mary Ann, Timothy, Jack, Joseph and the late Patricia.

Funeral services will be held Saturday 9:30am from New Comer-Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155 south of Central Ave.) then to Historic Church of St. Mary on Capital Hill (Lodge and Pine Streets), where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30am. Calling hours are Friday 4:00 to 7:00pm at the funeral home. Interment at Our Lady of Angels Cemetery, Colonie.
