Schenectady- Joyce A. Handy, 88, passed away peacefully on October 30, 2018. Born on October 22, 1930 in Ft. Plain, NY, she was the daughter of the late John D. and Marguerite (Foster) Suits, Sr. She was predeceased by her loving husband of 61 years Edison H. Handy, two brothers: John D. Suits, Jr. and Benjamin Suits and her grandson, Robert O'Rourke. She was also predeceased by her beloved Pug, Snuffy. Joyce was an award-winning knitter, she loved doing hand crafts and often would display her work at the Altamont Fair. Joyce was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Joyce is survived by her daughters: Marguerite (the late Benny) Anderson and Nancy (Konrad) Langlie; her step-grandson, Nicholas (Korina) Langlie; step-great-grandchildren, Alex and Viola Langlie. She will also be missed by John (Kelly) and their children Jordan and Lauren Langlie and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 10 am to 11 am on Monday, November 5 at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie. A funeral service will be held at 11 am. Burial will follow at Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, Schuylerville.
