Joyce M. Murray

SLINGERLANDS-Joyce M. Murray (Laurenzo) passed into eternal life on Sunday March 9 at her home in Slingerlands, N.Y. after a brief illness. Born in Schenectady, she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Elizabeth Laurenzo. She was predeceased by her husband, Kenneth Murray. She leaves a sister, Lois and her family, many beloved stepchildren and grandchildren, friends and her faithful little dog, Crusher. Joyce was employed by the NYS Department of State for over thirty years. In retirement, she worked in the bakery at the Slingerlands Price Chopper. She enjoyed cooking, fishing, playing cards, feeding and watching the birds and squirrels in her backyard. Generous and fun-loving, she delighted in playing practical jokes that would surprise and lighten the hearts of her friends and family. She was a member of the Polish Community Center in Albany. A private service will be held to celebrate and remember her life.
