LATHAM - Joyce Marie Nadeau, 84, entered into eternal Life on Wednesday, January 13, 2021, at her home, surrounded by her loving family.
Joyce was born on September 26, 1936 in Cohoes, daughter of the late John E. and M. Rita (Jones) Hogan. She was a graduate of Catholic Central High School in Troy. She worked for Metropolitan Life Insurance Co. from the age of 17 until she started her family at age 35. She was their first female office manager, as well as, one of the youngest in the company.
Joyce married her beloved Raymond Nadeau at St. Agnes Church in Cohoes on September 7, 1957. They shared a blessed union for 52 years before Ray's passing in 2010.
Joyce dedicated her life to raising a loving family. She was a role model to those around her on how to love and give. This was exemplified through the many years of volunteer work during her children's attendance at St. Ambrose School and Catholic Central High School. Anyone that had the opportunity to be in her presence could feel the love, kindness, acceptance and joy that only she could bestow. She brought so much joy to others, but her greatest joy in life was spending time with her family.
Joyce is survived by her son, Douglas R. (MaryJo) Nadeau; her daughter, Kathleen M. Nadeau; her cherished grandchildren, Gillian Nadeau, Kendall Nadeau, and Keeghan Nadeau; her siblings, Barbara (Bentley) White, John (Elena) A. Hogan, and Eileen Cox, several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
