Joyce Snead

ALBANY – Joyce Anne Snead, died January 31, 2007 after a lengthy illness. Born on May 24, 1944 in Cleveland, OH, she was adopted as a child by Charles and Gladys Cassell. In 1963 she married George Snead who predeceased her in 1995. In 2000 she relocated from Kentucky to Albany to live near her son, Charles. She devoted her life to caring for her family and friends. Surviving is her son, Charles Snead and his wife, Pilar and her daughter, Sheri Connely and her husband, Mark. Also surviving are her six grandchildren, Megan Snead, Jeremy Snead, Elizabeth Snead, Devyn Snead, Mike Connely and Amber Connely.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday at 12:00 p.m. at New Comer-Cannon Family Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave). Calling hours will precede the service from 10:00 to 12:00 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions would be appreciated to a local animal protection agency.
