SCOTIA- Joyce N. Walkowicz, age 86, was taken from her family suddenly on October 10, 2022 and has now joined her loving husband and beloved son in her eternal resting place in Heaven.
She was born in Schenectady, the daughter of the late Arthur and Sadie Desell. She was also predeceased by her loving husband, Edward, and beloved son, Edward Walkowicz, Jr.
Joyce embraced the time she spent with her family, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. These were her happiest moments.
She is survived by her daughters: Sharon (deceased David) Riley, Beth (Jim) Aviza, and Karen (deceased Edward, Jr.) Walkowicz; grandchildren: Michelle, Kim, Josh, Andrea, Amanda, and Megan; great-grandchildren: Kloie, Maddie, Ethan, Samuel, RJ and Santino.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Joyce's funeral Mass on Friday, October 14, 2022 at 9:30 a.m. at St. Joseph's Church, 231 Second Street, Scotia, NY 12302. Interment will follow at Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery, Troy Schenectady Road, Niskayuna, NY.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Joyce's memory may be made to the City Mission of Schenectady, 425 Hamilton Street, Schenectady, NY 12305.
