Albany- Judie A. Jackson, 61, passed away on January 3, 2019 at St. Peter's Hospice Inn surrounded by her family.

Judie was born on August 13, 1957 daughter of John W. and Hattie J. (Edwards) Jackson in Brooklyn, NY.

Judie was a devoted mother, daughter, wife, aunt, sister and friend to many. She graduated from John Adams High School in Queens, NY, Class of 1975. She studied Interior Design at the Fashion Institute of Technology, Class of 1986 Judie earned her Associates Degree in Gallery Management at Hudson Valley Community College, Class of 2009. She worked at St. Peter's Hospital for over 8 years as a patient companion. Judie was a talented artist and loved to draw and write poetry. She was an accomplished woman, she wrote and published a book of poems called Dragon Tales and was very proud of earning her degree in her 50's. She will be dearly missed.

She is survived by her mother, Hattie J. Jackson; her husband, David "Ron" Jackson; children, Dina Jackson, Veronica Jackson (Poopsie) and Jared Jackson; siblings, John Jackson (Veronica), Mervin Jackson (Barbara), Gloria Fredericks; Sister-in-law, Maryann Scott-Jackson and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

She was predeceased by her father, John W. Jackson and her sister, Lula Jackson; Father-in-law, Samuel Jackson Sr.; Mother-in-law, Vernice Wright Jackson and Brother-in-law, Samuel Jackson.

A service to celebrate Judie's life will be held on January 26, 2019 at Spindle City Vineyard Church in Cohoes, NY.
