Judith "Judy" E. Colantonio

Judith (Judy) E. Colantonio, 77, of Troy, passed away on January 4, 2025 after a courageous battle with cancer. She was surrounded by her family.

Judy is survived by her children Lee, Elizabeth (Anthony), James II (Lisa), Louise, Jason and honorary daughter Karen; her grandchildren Matthew, Erika, Nicholas, Joshua, Alexander, James III, Britney, Courtney, Lauryn, Jade and Jasmine, as well as 11 great-grandchildren. 

Born on November 10, 1947 in Petersburg, NY, Judy is predeceased by her parents, Helen A. Braun and Hans J. Braun and her sister Elizabeth Braun.

After graduating from Berlin Central High School, Judy spent many years as a fulltime mother and homemaker. She also spent time working and advocating for the homeless before settling in career work as a legal secretary.

Her legacy is exemplified in her extraordinary ability to make something from nothing through her sewing, knitting and crafting. Judy also loved kayaking with her son Jason.
