Judith M Sheehy of Albany, NY died on July 30, 2012 at The Hospice Inn at St. Peter's Hospital. Born in Fort Edward, NY on December 12, 1939, she was the daughter of John Royal Sheehy and Josepha Bielkiewicz Sheehy.
Ms. Sheehy graduated from Ballston Spa High School in 1957 and attended St. Lawrence University, Siena College and SUNY Albany School of Business. She spent many years as a Financial Manager for not-for- profit agencies, especially those in the Mental Health services field. Most notable of these were Rehabilitation Support Services, Inc. of Albany and Baltic Street Mental Health of Brooklyn.
Ms. Sheehy had a passion for spending free time in the outdoors gardening, camping and hiking in the Northeast. Ms. Sheehy is survived by two daughters, Annine C. Everson and Kate Overacker of Albany; one grandson, Ian D. Everson (Nichole) of Albany and two great-grandchildren, Adeline and River Everson and many cousins.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, August 16, 2012 at Mallozzi's Italian American Community Center, 257 Washington Ave. Extension, Albany, NY between the hours of 5:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. Friends and family are encouraged to attend to share stories and memories.
