COLONIE- Judy K. Kiesel, age 76, passed away peacefully after a short illness surrounded by family on May 31, 2023.
She was born in Blytheville, AR, the daughter of the late Clyde and Opal Vickery. She was also predeceased by her brother Jimmy.
Judy loved crafting, gardening, online shopping with QVC, and her Diet Pepsi. She was a huge animal lover.
In her early years, she volunteered with the Westerlo Rescue Squad and worked at St. Peter's Hospital and later retired from the NYS Department of State.
She is survived by her children: Christine Liebenau, Diane Sorros and Jason (Natalie) Liebenau; grandchildren: Katherine Sorros, Christopher Sorros, Jacob Liebenau and Logan Liebenau; sister, Jean Toombs; and her beloved feline companion, NauNau.
The family wishes to thank the Staff at Ellis Hospital for their exceptional care of Judy.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her calling hours on Tuesday June 6, 2023 from 10 to 12 Noon at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie, NY 12205. All are invited to her graveside service following at Memory Gardens Cemetery, Colonie.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Judy's name may be made to Kitten Angels, 233 Houseman Street, Mayfield, NY 12117.
