After saying goodbye to many friends and surrounded by family, Judy went home to her Lord and Savior on November 4, 2018. Despite an extended struggle with leukemia and then pneumonia, her joy and positive outlook never diminished. Predeceased by her parents, Morris and Eleanor (Embt) Richardson, brothers Daniel Richardson and Gary Richardson. Survived by loving husband, Karl Kunker; children Kimberly, Brendon, Rachel and many cousins, nieces and nephews; loving extended family and a large community of supportive friends.
Judy was a sign language interpreter for the deaf and hard of hearing. She was a highly respected and loved servant for the deaf community of the capital district, as both a freelance and volunteer interpreter. She was very active at Pineview Community church where she interpreted weekly and at special events. She loved being an active member of the Schenectada Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution. Delta Lake Bible Conference Center in Rome, NY was her most enjoyed place for summer vacations.
Relatives and friends may call 5-8 p.m. Friday, November 9th at Pineview Community Church, 251 Washington Avenue Extension, Albany, New York 12205. A memorial service will be held Saturday November 10th at 10:00 am at the church. Interment will take place at a later date.
Donation may be given to Pineview Community Church where an endowment for Interpreter services will be established.
