ALBANY- Julia J. Braden, 88, of Albany passed away on Wednesday February 7, 2007 at the Teresian House Nursing Facility. She was born in Washington, Indiana and was the daughter of the late George and Alice Winston Baker.
Julia was employed with New York State Department of Motor Vehicles for over 20 years, retiring in 1989. She was a longtime member and officer of CSEA Union. Julia was an avid reader and enjoyed socializing with her family and friends. She was predeceased in 1988 by her husband William and her son William in 1991.
Julia is the beloved mother of Mary Louise Braden of Albany. She is the grandmother of Sarah Louise Braden of Lake Geneva, WI. Special thanks to the wonderful staff on the 4th floor at Teresian House for all of their compassion and care.
Funeral services will Saturday at 12 noon at New Comer-Cannon Family Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave). A calling hour will precede the service from 11am to 12 noon on Saturday. Interment will be in Chestnut Lawn Cemetery, New Baltimore.
