ALBANY – Julia E. Polisky, 96, passed away on Tuesday, November 5, 2013 at Albany Medical Center Hospital.
Julia was born on March 16, 1917 in Ironwood, MI and was the daughter of the late Julius and Veronica (Magiera) Olsiewski. She retired from the NYS Insurance Fund. She enjoyed gardening, bowling, traveling, and loved animals.
Julia is survived by her loving son and daughter-in-law, Charles J. and Marlene Polisky; her sister, Stella Gasorowski; her brothers, Ed (Kay) Olsiewski, Watson Olsiewski, and Charles Olsiewski and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Charles A. Polisky; her sisters, Bonita, Mary, and Helen; and her brothers, Stanley and Leo.
Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie. Calling hours will precede the service from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Interment St. Agnes Cemetery in Menands.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contribution may be made to the Columbia-Greene Humane Society, 125 Humane Society Road, Hudson, NY 12534 in memory of Julia E. Polisky.
