Julia F. Kieru

SCOTIA – Julia F. Kieru, 78, of Scotia, NY, passed away on September 1, 2009, after a sudden illness, at Ellis Hospital. Born on January 7, 1931 in Norwich, NY, the daughter of the late Thomas and Anna Gladys Murtagh. Julia lived in Scotia for 41 years. Judy loved her kids, grandchildren and her pets. She loved to read, listen to country music, watch the news and she was a great cook.

Judy is survived by her sons; David Kieru and his wife, Barbara; Steven Joyner; daughter, Linda Tullock; daughter-in-law, Kim Whitman; brother, Mike Murtagh and his wife Lyn; grandchildren; Leah, Sara, Michelle, Corey, Kristen, Patrick, Jalen, Gabriel and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph; son, John and son-in-law, Richard. The family would also like to recognize Judy's lifelong friend, Shirley Burchill.

Services will be private with no calling hours. Burial will be at Saratoga National Cemetery, Schuylerville, NY.
